Chance Summers - Co Founder
Chance Summers has been a boys' home director, headmaster, and elder. His passion for cigars began when his wife encouraged him to take up a new hobby. Over the past two years, Chance has been testing cigar blends for 1689 Cigars. Before that, he often spent time in his local cigar lounge, chatting with his tobacconist and dreaming of launching his own cigar line one day. Chance currently serves as an elder at a Reformed Baptist church in Kentucky. The company, 1689 Cigars, is founded on the historical confessions of the church, and all of its products reflect significant events in church history. One thing you should know about Chance is that he often looks serious, but he is a jokester at heart. His three favorite cigars from 1689 are the Savoy Green Label Habano, Westminster Orange Label Connecticut, and a prototype Connecticut.

Justin Johnson - Co Founder
Justin Johnson is an entrepreneur focused on personal finance, fitness, and preparedness, grounded in a Reformed Christian worldview that embraces the dominion mandate of Genesis. After 15 years managing technology projects for the DoD and state and local governments, he applied his skills in analysis and communication to build ventures that unite stewardship and responsibility. Through Dominion Wealth Strategists, he helps families bring biblical order to their finances; through High Calling Fitness, he trains men and women to restore their health as part of their spiritual duty; and through 1689 Armory, which he co-founded, he extends this same mission to protection and preparedness. Across all his work, Justin’s purpose is clear: to equip men and families to take dominion—spiritually, financially, and physically—with conviction, clarity, and courage.

Josiah Stowe- Co Founder
Josiah Stowe is a U.S. Army veteran, entrepreneur, and co-founder of 1689 Armory. He served five years on Active Duty as a Religious Affairs Specialist with the 101st Airborne Division, including a deployment to Iraq under Operation Inherent Resolve. His military experience instilled in him a lasting respect for precision, accountability, and brotherhood—principles that now guide his leadership and business philosophy. After studying at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Josiah turned his focus to helping men take dominion over their lives spiritually, financially, and physically. Through 1689 Armory, he equips men to take responsibility for their own protection and the safety of those entrusted to them, drawing on his background in executive protection, logistics, and field operations. Whether strengthening families through Dominion Wealth Strategists or providing battle-tested armor through 1689 Armory, Josiah’s mission is constant: to serve those who see faith, work, and preparedness as inseparable duties.
